ABOUT ABOUT

Join us online only at 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, by architecture photographer and researcher Will Quam. This virtual tour covers the exciting history of brick making and brick building in Chicago from 1830 to today. Follow the trends and fashions through Chicago's brick history: Rough, homegrown common bricks, crisp imported red bricks, wild terra cottas of the Roaring Twenties Miesian modern bricks and more. Discover the technology and architectural innovations that can be found across Chicagoland, including McHenry County, that are written into its brick. The tour features Quam photos of buildings and their details, as well as images from throughout McHenry County.
